The College Equestrian Centre has been owned and run by Simon & Patsy Bates since its inception in 1996. From the beginning we have tried to provide excellent facilities, and have evolved the centre from the initial Indoor Arena and American Barn Stabling continually. Spacious indoor working in and collecting facilities, large outdoor arena, large hard standing areas, cross country courses, café, showers, show stables have all been added and most recently a new all weather training arena, boutique equestrian retail unit and facilities for a specialist dressage yard have been added.

We aim to provide a welcoming environment for all our customers, and cover as much of the spectrum of equestrian activity as possible. We do have some specialism and expertise in the three Olympic disciplines of Dressage, Eventing and Show Jumping, and do bring in expert support when a little extra is required.

The centre welcomes riders of all abilities and aspirations, from the pleasure rider to the elite competitor. We run events at all levels, and all are equally welcome. Training and assistance is provided by ourselves, regular trainers and our on site Riding Club.

We are experienced at running competitions ourselves up to national standard, and provide hosting opportunities for clubs, associations or individuals who wish to hire facilities to run their own events. Support and assistance can be offered where it is wanted, and we can either offer facilities tailored to a budget, or some highly competitive package options

Carlton Cross Country Course is set in 200 acres of beautiful rolling Bedfordshire countryside as well as woodland tracks. The course was designed by Philip Herbert 20 years ago with the focus of the course lying in the safe confines of the meadow surrounded by high hedges and woodland ground

Our equine centre, Mount Pleasant, includes stables and two indoor arenas to ensure that you have real life facilities to develop your practical horse management skills and progress into a successful career working with horses. Please see our events schedule for regular events.

Established 1990 in Northill, Bedfordshire with 6 horses and ponies we have grown to a team of 15 from 11.2hh - 16.0hh catering for both the beginner and more experienced rider. We offer a wide range of services including:- - Livery -Lessons - Pony Club -Twin Trees Riders Club - Competitions - Dressage -Show Jumping -Cross Country - Gymkhana - Horseball - Tuition on own horse/ pony - Schooling and Problem Horses
